Thanks for your responses again. What I would emphasize is that the people involved in this article have, for the most part, engaged in a one-sided demonization of the UUA and me personally for the last three years. They have ignored anything that complicates their narratives and were outright spreading false and malicious rumors during General Assembly. I generally believe in assuming good intentions, but there comes a point when it becomes clear a person does not have good intentions, and I think some of the actors in the gadfly controversy have reached this level. One prominent and influentially gadfly supporter has literally called upon people who agree with him to oust ministers and lay leaders who disagree with him. This is also not dialogue.
